Hi There . I have done PGD NQF level 7 from ISBS completed in Jan 2012. I have applied for ACCA+MBA but CAS was just for ACCA through FIA Route which is also NQF Level 7 . I have applied an extention of visa on 8th of March 2012, on 22nd i received an Acknowledgement letter and on 23rd Received Biometric letter. i have given Biometrics on 28th of March. Still i haven't received any reply from UKBA as such right now.

Hi Greenie, what i asked is that i have done PGD level 7 from Edxcel and now i have applied for visa on basis of ACCA which is also level 7 from Highly Trusted Institution. My question is that will there any affect on issuance of visa when switching from academic to professional qualification.
Sorry for my bad english and thanks in advance for replying .

I think your question is you have applied for student visa extension on NQF Level 7 course but your previous qualification is also a NQF Level 7 qualification.
Did your college describe your academic progression in CAS? If they did it properly, than hopefully, you will get visa soon. Otherwise there is 95% chance that UKBA will refuse your visa.

UKBA deals in immigration and visa matters. They are not Olympic organizers.
It could be possible that visa application traffic and work load will affect UKBA working efficiency, but, according to news, there is no much people outside EU interested in London Olympics due to overall bad financial situation which resulted less visa application than expected.

Hi Deviser, thanks for your reply. Well college has written following statement on Academic Progression.
Progression Statement:
Student has previously studied BSc Business in the UK at London Business Academy. The present course represents academic progression, as it is ACCA (NQF Level 7).
Student previously studied an Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (NQF Level 7) at International School of Business Studies. The present course is complementary to his previous course of study as he is now moving from an academic programme to complete a professional programme (ACCA). Progressing onto a professional programme will enhance the student's understanding of the financial aspect of Management.
Please suggest on it whether its written correctly or there's a problem with it .
Thanks.

it's not a late response. It has only been 3 weeks since you gave biometrics, and it would usually take at least 4, longer at the moment.

Read it again!
Its not a rejection ratio, its a 'chance' ratio. :p

Standard of UKBA is that they process 75% of applications within 4 weeks !! but as you said longer at moment that is what i have said why taking time so long. after two days my application will be of 4 weeks. Lets hope whether i'll be the one in those 75% of applications.

it's 4 weeks to make a decision, but you won't necessarily receive the decision within 4 weeks - as it can take a week/two weeks for docs to arrive. Applications are taking longer across the agency at the moment due to an increase in applications in anticipation of rule changes, fee changes, and the closure of PSW.
