Statement Problem from Halifax

Post by esmsi » Sat Apr 14, 2012 2:33 pm

I have received my statement till feb 2012.But , I need statement till first week of April.

Because I got paid from my job always first week of next month.

I will show income form April 2011 to March 2012.

Yesterday I asked bank them to send statement to my home address.

Can I collect my transaction from the branch with halifax letterhead?

Yes, you can get a statement with the bank's letter head from a Halifax branch. I have collected multiple statements this way and have successfully used them in the past. I highlighted in bold aspects I feel are relevant to your scenario.

Make sure the statement meets the following criteria as per the guidance
The personal bank or building society statements should clearly show:
• the applicant’s name;
• the account number;
• the date of the statement;
• the financial institution’s name and logo;

All statements must be on the bank’s stationery, unless the applicant is submitting electronic statements.
Ad hoc bank statements printed on the bank’s letterhead/stationery are admissible as evidence (this excludes mini-statements from cash points).
If the applicant wishes to submit electronic bank statements from an online account these must contain all of the details listed above.
In addition, the applicant will need to provide either:
• a supporting letter from his/her bank, on company headed paper, confirming the authenticity of the statements; or
• an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank in question will be accepted. This stamp should appear on every page of the statement.

My full name is big .Four word w x y z.

Try another branch. It should not be a problem to get it done as I have requested ad-hoc statements many times and have not had problems.

In regards to your name query, I don't believe it is a problem as the amounts on your payslip match up to the amounts credited to your account and at least two of the names are the same. I am guessing at the very least, the surname is always consistent across everything, but the middle names and first name alternate, so this should be alright.

Kind Regards

Don't know your location but i got this done in Ilford high street branch. A middle aged man wearing glasses did it for me. You need to be assertive and firm.

Only covering letter had all my details with closing balance. And transactions were bearing bank logo and account number (no name) but formatting was weird, I decided not to use that and wait for originals.

You may want to give it a try, if that serves any purpose. Probably i was extra cautious!!!!
