Advice: If leave expires, is the Bank Account?

Hi,

Since my leave will expire in May 2012 and i have applied from visa in March 2012, till now awaiting Biometric Letter, i was just wondering once my leave expires in May 2012, will this effect me in any way or will it effect my Bank account, like they asking me to update my visa status,etc etc.
