Cancelling IRL and re-applying at an office

Post by UKwannabee » Sun Apr 15, 2012 4:25 pm

Hi,

does anyone know if you can cancel an application made my post and then try to re-apply by booking an appt at office to expedite? I didn't realise the processing times were taking this long. My work permit has now expired.

Also, does anyone know if I can request my passport back without any delay to the application in the meantime?

Confusing because it does state on the Acknowledgement letter to contact them if you require the documents back but I don't know if it means it cancels your application-anyone have any experience?

I don't know how they can expect people to be without their passport for up to 23 weeks!! Ridiculous!!!

your current visa status remains until your application is decided so i would wait.
