hello every one
im a business person residing in bahrain & i wish to immigrate to uk under the tier 1 entrepreneur visa.
i m a jewellery & an optical store retailer

can we invest in a gold jewellery retail store or an optical store.
i know ill initially be immigrating through the 200k funds in the bank. the query is for after entering the uk
i meant to ask if a gold jewellery or an optical retail store qualify as a business investment. i would prefer gold retail as most of the 200k will be tangibly safe in the stock /inventory
and what kind of tarrifs / vat i have to pay to convert the 200k pounds to gold jewellery inventory for my store

According to my understanding, with £200k funds visa category, you can do any kind of business you like. You can do whatever you like and then the tax you have to pay is on profit what you earn.

Specific business categories are for PSW holders applying from inside UK.

i mean what if i start buying the gold immideatly i get visa. though ill buy it in uk. my concern is because of the very volatile gold market prices fluctuate a lot. i dont want to make a loss.
so once i get the visa i wish to convert my money in gold.
& for extension to stay in uk i use the gold inventory in tthe retail store as part of my investment
