Hi,
I have a UK Tier1 Dependent visa and currently living in london.

I want to know if it would be convenient for me to get the Schengen visa. And what are the requirements to apply for it.

Well, that depends if you need a visa to travel to Spain. That normally depends on your nationality.

If you do need a visa and plan to travel to Spain, then I suggest you get a visa.

You dint mention which countries you are planning to visit, If its France as your major destination (ie the maximum time period to be spend in France during your visit) then you should go for France Schengen Visa. The validity of visa and the other details will depend on your nationality. Generally its 3 months on tourist visa (maximum validity)

thanks for replying back. I am having Indian passport with UK Tier 1 dependent visa and wish to travel to spain for a week or so. I wanted to know what are the formalities of Spain Schengen visa for indian passport.

The requirements are on the website below. You can apply in the UK as you have a UK residence documentation (tier 1 dependent).

A Spanish visa is usually a Schengen-Visa, you don´t have a choice.

There are very few exceptions, but they will most certainly not apply to you.
