Urgent - Spouse Visa delay in visa application

Post by superchamp123 » Wed Apr 18, 2012 9:17 pm

Hello,

I am a British National and got legally married to an Indian national on 09/04/2012 in Indian Court. Our family plans to have a social / religious wedding ceremony by the end of Oct. My wife would like to join me here in UK after this ceremony. We are planning to apply for Spouse Visa application in July beginning (given it takes 2-4 months to get the visa) so that she can travel with me by Oct end/ Nov mid after social/ religious wedding ceremony. My query is -

1. Is there any negative impact on applying the spouse visa after 3 months (in July) of court marriage (in April) ?

2. If yes - What documents or explanation we can provide to satisfy visa authorities ? Should we explain and provide documentary evidence of our social / religious wedding ceremony at the time of Visa Application ?

Really appreciate your response on this as all the arrangements for the social/religious wedding need to planned as soon as possible.

Thanks

Hi from reading this forum for a while I dont see any problems in applying after 3 months, you just need to explain in the cover letter why you did that.

But I think you may need to look into a few things about this before submitting, there is a fair amount you have to proove, e.g. photos of your wedding ceromony and photos of your both together. Soo look into all this carfully before applying and make sure you have everything you need.

I also thought about getting a court marriage back in October so my wife could come back with me in January after the indian wedding but then decided against as to many things may go wrong.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply.

We both know each other for many years and have many photographs together in UK and India to show we knew each other in the past.

After court marriage till visa application I am planning to show my lycamobile call history details in the applcation
