Good day
I had applied for a postgraduate work visa ( Tier 1) ( before change of immigration laws which took effect after 6 april 2012). I finished my masters in the Uk in September 2010 and the degree was officially awarded in april 2011. My application for Tier 1 visa was refused as I have no applied within 12months (applied after September 2011). However to my understanding the official award of my qualification would then be april 2011, as the date of award was not defined in the Tier 1 postwork guidance policy specifically which date to consider. Even when i did enquire about the specific date with the UK Visa office in my home country where I am currently situated. They did not know which date to consider. According to them I can apply for an appeal for review but unfortunately the people in my home country donot give out any advice before applying. Hence I would like to find out if anyone has had a similar problem and any advice If i could win the appeal and how to go about it
