UKBA still not allowing me to book a PEO online

Post by tapas_16880 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 4:56 pm

Hi All,

I am not able to book PEO appointment in UKBA site. It is saying -

"
Sorry, an error has occurred while processing your request.
We can not complete your appointment booking. This is due to a technical problem. Please try again later."

Have anyone faced this same issue before? I am surprised!!!

1. In your 1st application did you apply with dependents?
If yes then you have to book PEO for all of them.

2. Check that details enetered are correct while booking appointment.

3. Do you have any other appointment on same account?

Its the same error for me as well. Even if I chose the period between the 1st available date to the last available date with Anyday & Anytime.

Does this means that there are no bookings available??

Pls advice

Finally they have accepted that systems have issues.
I think this is one of the first updates where UKBA has accepted that system is broken.

Till now UKBA only informed that system is down for "essential maintenance".

Can an applicant also pay less 300 pounds and just write "We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you."

Really absurd for people who may have taken leave and prepared for their appointments. I am sure they might have not heard from UKBA before making travelling arrangements...

Anyways good luck to all of those.

Exactly, I drove 2 hours to Sheffield to get my biometrics done.
I would be gutted if this had happened to me. Pathetic !!!

Re: Set O - Received SMS - Appointment Cancelled - Sheffield

Post by mfb123 » Mon Apr 23, 2012 4:04 pm

Hi All,

On UKBA website, they say appointments have been cancelled for today 23rd April-12 but they dont say appointment will be cancelled for tomorow.

I have an appointment for tomorow 24-04-12 and received SMS saying your appointment has been cancelled but does not mention any date.

Did anyone else received this (SMS) message who got appointment after 24-04-12.

Just to check, if there is still any hope for me that if system comes back to life again then I would be able to attend my appointment for tomorow 24-04-12.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.

Anyways..no offence to you iffi786...but just wondering..could you please recommend me your solicitor just incase i need to go through him..please?

Hi

I received following text from UKBA 9.33am on 23rd. My appointment is for 24th @ Sheffield. However my online appointment is still active. But decided not to attend as I have to travel 200 miles to Sheffield.

"Due to technical problems your biometric enrolment appointment has had to be cancelled. Please rebook your appointment. Sorry for any inconvenience."

I am thinking to give them a call in the morning to confirm if Biometrics are still unavailable.

If they Say, Yes, then I will think about it as I have to travel 170 miles - Shefiield as well but I do not have time as my visa is expiring on 4th-May.

Do you think our appointments will be available if Biometrics will be working as mine says active as well.

I tried all day today to phone them. Spent about £10. I couldn't get through to them. Let us all know if you can get hold of them in the morning.

I would, as my appointment is at 1.00pm. I suppose to leave my home at max by 09.30am. So if I can get hold of them then I would update you all. Otherwise I wll be in the queue to book another appointment...
