Decision letter after return of supporting documents

Post by kindred_1st » Tue Apr 24, 2012 2:22 pm

Hello all,

For those who have used the postal service rather than the NCS, what was the timeline between the return of your supporting docs and the decision letter? ie if they weren't sent together.

K.

From what I have seen in the timeline thread, it is approximately 3 weeks.

congrats doubleT. I know you had your concerns about the arrival of the decision letter in another thread.

Congrats again :)

Did you send any prepaid self-addressed envelope along with your application?

Having applied on 29/02 (I know there are applicants from Nov who are still waiting), being optimistic about getting the documents and approval at the same time.

I did provide a pre-paid envelope with my application. My docs and ppt were returned in it, less the decision letter.

How long did it take you to receive the documents when you applied for naturalization?

I applied on Jan 19th, 2012 and the docs and ppt were posted on Apr 5th.

Spoke to a gentleman at the HO this morning, a decision was made 2 days ago. No letter sent yet, so I anxiously await.

Our documents were returned a week ago, after approximately 5 months from application and still no decision. Hope this helps.

Yet to receive my documents...applied 25th Feb. Have called last week to see if I can request my documents back. The lady told they still need them for processing.

How come NCS was able to check the documents on the same day and return but UKBA wants to hold them for months?
