Hi there
My husband's spouse visa expires on 14th Jan 2013 - it was a 27 month visa so the earliest we could apply is 11th October 2012 (he came on 11th Nov 2010). We were going to opt for the premium appointment as we are planning to visit his country this Christmas (and have booked tickets!!). However, he was once refused a student visa as his course did not meet the criteria (he went home voluntarily as required and did everything by the book). There was no problem getting the spouse visa, we told the truth.
My question is: because of being refused a visa once, does that mean we can't do the premium appointment route? And if not, is there any chance that if we applied in mid-October he would get his visa before 27th December?
