Application form is invalid:(...need help, please!!!

Post by sontantan47 » Thu Apr 26, 2012 4:52 pm

Hello everyone,
My tier 4 visa application form was returned as invalid, because I missed s2 question in application form:(...it just a Yes/ No question and now it is my terrible mistake when I did not check it carefully
So in the letter, UKBA tell me to make a fresh application, but I wonder Do I need to get a new CAS letter?
I am applying to extend my visa for ACCA course, and in London school of business and FInance, If I want another CAS letter, I have to pay more 1500 pound:(...it is really a big big amount for me. So could anyone give me an advise?
Many thanks

If you need new CAS and college is asking £1500 for it and you don't have it...than...leave UK as soon as possible.

Usually, CAS is valid for 6 month until it has been used. As your application is return as invalid, thats mean CAS is still valid but confirm it with UKBA by calling them before re-apply.

if your application was rejected as invalid rather than refused then you won't need a new CAS unless your CAS was issued more than 6 months ago. What is your college's justification for charging you £1500 for a CAS?

Many thanks for all your advises!
So sad but it's true for my collegue:(...if it is my fault, I have to pay extra 1500 pound for new CAS, and if I dont pay it, I won't get my tuition fee back :( so it's even a much bigger loss:(
Yes my case is invalid application form, and My CAS is only about 1 month, so like you said, I do not need a new CAS, are you 100 % sure about that:(
I try to call to UKBA this afternoon, but no one picked up the phone:(

A CAS can only be used for one application. However, since your initial application attempt was deemed to be invalid, UKBA considers this as you have not made an application, therefore there is no reason why you cannot use the original CAS. ie you have not used the CAS for an application and therefore it remains valid.

A CAS costs a tier 4 sponsor £13. How they can justify charging you £1500 is completely beyond me.

That said, you don't need a new CAS as your application was invalid and therefore treated as if it had never been made. Therefore your CAS will not be considered 'used'.

Has your visa now expired?

Many thanks for your advices!
My visa will be expired at 31/5, so i have about a month to reapply again
Now i intend to apply by using premium service- or apply in person, anyone know about that, but actually when i read the rule on ukba website, i do not know exactly can I use that method or not?
My situation is extend my current visa. My curreny visa is for my master course which i just finished in Jannuary this year. Could anyone give me advise about applying through this way?
Many thanks!

Yes, you can use premium service with same CAS. Make an appointment and take all previous documents/letters with you.

First of all i would like to correct this : However long the night, the down will break!

it is DAWN not down. ok

so now come to the point, you do not need the new CAS.
have they took the payment ? it's best if you can post the application to the person who send your application back after making the correction, you can find his name and address etc from the letter you received with the application. make sure your bank statement is not older than one month mean the last transaction should not be older than one month when you resubmit your application.

i am advising you about this because one of my friend had the missed to fill the immigration history, so his application was returned invalid, so he corrected the mistake and resend the application back to the person who returned the application, and finally he got the VISA.

thanks and Good Luck.
