Biometric Immigration document - help required

Post by vennk0 » Fri Apr 27, 2012 4:27 pm

Hi,

I am planning to apply for Tier-1 General VISA extension in Jun-2012 at PEO (Premium service).

When checking the application which is after 06-Apr-2012 - In section C (1st point) it says as below:

"In accordance with regulations 3 and 4 of the Immigration (Biometric Registration) (Amendment )
Regulations 2009, anyone applying for an extension of stay in the UK in the categories for which this
application form is specified must also apply for a biometric immigration document, otherwise known
as a Biometric Residence Permit. This also applies to applications made at the same time by any
dependants of the main applicant. For information about Biometric Residence Permits, please see the
help text, which you should read before completing this form."

My initial Tier -1 (general) was done on 16-Jul--2010 and I was not given any BRP. Can anyone advise what it is and how should I apply as I am going for same day processing at PEO.

Thank you.

Its absolutely fine.

Just mention that you have provided your biometrics (hope your fingers were scanned when you applied first time) and don't have a BRP card.

You will be issued BRP when you go for extension. Your Passport will not be stamped. you will get a BRP Card (similar to credit card) to confirm your Visa extension.
