absences from the UK

Post by rh7br » Sat Apr 28, 2012 9:31 am

hi, i'm coming up on my application for citizenship. i travel a lot for work and will likely end up being somewhere pretty close to the limit for days outside of the UK. since they're more strict about this for citizenship than for ILR, i would like to make sure that i have as accurate a representation as possible of my days away, so i know whether i am over the limit and if so by how many.

i can certainly get my data on days when i've entered the UK, since i can retrieve my IRIS data (and there are very few entry stamps beyond that to piece together). but what about for days that i've left the country? my old passport is fairly weather-beaten and several of the foreign entry stamps are illegible.

can i track this somehow? does it even matter? i don't want to misrepresent myself. i also don't want to drive myself crazy if it's not going to make a difference anyway.

any thoughts?

thanks.
