TIER 1 (PSW) Dependant question

Hi, I checked UKBA Homeoffice website and this forum, but I still have some doubts concerning the dependant application which my wife should do soon, so I will be really thankful to everybody who could assist me in these questions.

1) I am currently holding TIER 1 PSW Visa, but it is not longer in use, so my dependant should apply for TIER 1 (General) Visa ?

2) If so, should she apply with VAF10 PBS application form ?

3) "If the Tier 1 Migrant is outside the United Kingdom or has been present in the United Kingdom for less than 12 months, each family member of the Tier 1 Migrant must show that he/she, the Tier 1 Migrant, or (for children) his/her other parent who is also legally present in the United Kingdom has at least £1600 to support him/her" - does this mean I should not leave UK territory for 12 months ?

4) If she is applying with VAF10 form with what from should the main applicant apply ?

Only you can say if you are currently PSW or Tier 1 General. You can't be both so which one aren't you?

why did you say that your visa was no longer in use?

Okay, I've looked at your post history and now think I know what you are trying to say. You have PSW but now that it is closed (no longer in use, to use your vernacular) you are wondering if your dependant can apply to join you. PSW is closed but dependants of people in this category continue to be eligible to join their partners in the UK.

1) Your wife should apply as a PBS dependant
2) VAF10 or the on-line equivalent of this form
3) No, that's not what it means

Thanks a lot for your help in my question. Now I understand almost everything except 1 thing. I think I found the form which we should fill here: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... lications/, but my question is should we fill the same form and apply together in the same day (from different countries) ?

Only the PBS dependant will be applying given that you have already been granted leave.

So I should send all required documents like bank statements, rent confirmation etc... to dependent's country and she will apply with all these documents in her country ?
