Marriage Visitor Visa - Email from UKBA

Evening all.

My partner just received the following email:

Dear applicant,

The answer to your United Kingdom visa application is ready. Your passport will be sent to the British Embassy in Caracas today.
You must collect it after 4 working days once you received this mail.

Regards,

UKBA Bogota

Can anyone tell me from experience if this means the visa has been approved or not?

it could mean either. you just need to wait for the decision.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I just read online that other people got a refusal email and it said their documents would be sent to them.

Gettin my hopes up here. Just have to be patient.

Can I just ask another question? Hopefully someone can help me.

I live in northern Ireland and my partner will be arriving via Dublin, Ireland. Mostly because the tickets are much cheaper via Dublin.

Will she need to enter via the UK? If she comes through Dublin she will pass through border control in Ireland. I am really unsure how this will effect the visa validity.

Any answers would be helpful. Thank you.
