Tier 1 General - Clarifications

Post by vicky8319 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 11:08 pm

My visa expires in Aug 2012.

Can i apply next week instead of waiting till the last month (either by post or by PEO) ?

B11. Home Office reference number(s) (if known):
??????

B12. Give details of any current or previous worker reference number(s) under work permit arrangements (if applicable):
??????

B14. Points Based System migrant reference number (if known):
?????

D3. What date was the entry clearance or visa issued?
This is the Date of start of VISA, right ?

D4. Please enter the reference number on the entry clearance or visa which can be found in the applicant’s passport or travel document.
Can somebody confirm that this is the red colour thing on the top RHS of the viginette in ur UK VISA from ur passport.

H4. Please tick to confirm the documents that the applicant has sent as supporting evidence of the qualification for which he/she is claiming points. (The applicant should refer to the Tier 1 (General) Policy guidance to establish the circumstances in which documents other that the original certificates of award will be accepted.)
Can i tick all options ?

M2. Select what supporting evidence the applicant has sent in order to prove he/she has access to available funds:
Is bank statement alone enough or should i get a letter from my Bank? I think this may not be valid because, my bank statement contains end of day balance based on the transaction n(either a credit or a debit) date AND NOT BASED ON EACH DAY OF THE MONTH . So what should i do now ? Can i bank (Barclays) help ?

L6. Select what supporting evidence has been sent to confirm the applicant’s degree:
Actually this was proved during my initial application. Also they are asking for degree certificate and Academic Transcripts. I will submit those.
But can i submit a letter from my university which i got before 2 years which states that my medium of instruction was english ??

You can apply as early as you like, but that may affect your eligibility criteria for PR at the end of 5 yr tenure as T1 Visa holder.

B11, B12, B14 - Leave them blank

D3 - It is your first ever entry clearance visa from date. If you entered first as Student, use that valid from date

D4 - Use the first entry clearance ref no on top right corner. Again, if you entered in the UK under student visa or WHM visa, use the reference number from there and not the one from T1 visa

H4- NO YOU CAN NOT TICK ALL OPTIONS. Tick only what you are sending.

M2 - Bank statement should suffice

L6 - Tick option - Already proven.....

And You will have to go for one more extension at the end of 5 years for a PR.
L6 - Tick option - Already proven.....
For L6 you will not have option to check Already Proven. So, check (select) both these options -
1. Original degree certificate
2. Original academic transcript
AND submit your originals.

I think i have already explained to you about this....
Each transaction date will have the debit or credit amount along with the end of day balance.
So, when there is no transaction, it is understood that end previous transaction (or last transaction days balance) date's balance still remains the same for the unprinted days (or dates) in your monthly statement.

For example,
if you have 3 transactions between 1st May and 30th may - the statement would like like this -
1st may 10 1000 balance
15th May 500 1500 balance
28th May 500 2000 balance

This means that between 1st may and 14th may(both dates inclusive) the end of day's balance was always 1000
Similarly between 15th may and 27th may (both dates inclusive), end of day's balance was always 1500
Hope i didnt confuse :)

You can tick these three options (you are selecting first two becos you are submitting these for L6 anyways. So you can tick these)
1. Original certificate of award
2. Original academic reference from awarding body and Original academic transcript
3. Evidence previously provided with the applicant’s initial Tier 1 (General) application

Section L - Tick this option - Applicant is currently in the United Kingdom as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, or as a Highly Skilled Migrant Programme participant and has previously satisfied the English Language requirement

And Go to question L7. That is what I initially meant but couldn't execute correctly with words
