new to this forum. Need som advice from anyone. I just had my ILr done last week :
..Reading the rules for citizenship. As of now, i will be eligible to apply for the citizenship next year (spent 7yrs till date), however my spouse (got ILR same time as me) will not be eligible for it as she will be in UK for 3.5yrs by next yr same time. I need to know if i become the citizen first and then put my spouse file for naturalisation on the basis of married to a UK citizen that needs only 3yrs stay in the UK? Does it work in that way? Or does she need to complete 5yrs stay (1.5yrs after next yr same time)?Your help is appreciated.
