ILR tier 1 general

Hi,
My ILR is due on end of July for tier 1 general visa but I am sure about two things and need your help guys

* can I apply for myself and my wife without applying for two kids age 5 & 2.so that I can apply for British passport strait away for my kids after I get ILR as they were born in uk

*can I do one day service myself or I need representative for that
Pls help if you have any info about this

Two questions there. Answers :-
  • You need not apply for ILR for the children. But do appreciate that you getting ILR does not make the children British, so you cannot apply for British Passports for the children until they are British. You next need to submit a form MN1 for each of the children in order to apply to Register them as British, the applications being under section 1(3), an entitlement application.
  • if you can get an appointment for same-day service at a PEO, go for it.
