Previous earnings questions:

Post by chandu_246 » Wed May 02, 2012 10:27 am

Hi All,

First of all thanks to everybody in this forum as this is the forum I used to get my TIER1 visa 3 years back and TIER1 dependent visa 2.5 yrs back.Well I am here to achieve the same success again(TIER1 Extension this time for a change).I have PEO appointment in Solihull on 8th of May.

1.I have worked in company ABC from 1st May2011 to JULY2011.I worked in company ABC till 7th July, 2011.When I resigned the job there on 1st July, the company said they can relieve me on July 7th itself and they will pay me 6 weeks notice, If I leave early as the company is going through restructuring(Basically firing employees). Now when I am filling the dates in the app. form, I have to put the dates from 1st may2011 to 7th July2011.But the problem here is my July salary will be huge compared to previous months.Of course the amount in the payslip exactly matches with the bank statement. If the amount is high, is that a problem?

2.In the new company XYZ, I don't have my company name in the bank statement and instead it shows the agency which manages employee salary accounts for my company XYZ.In this case do I need to get a letter from company or I can just mention it in the cover letter?

3.Also in the new company I missed the pay date for that month, when I joined on July16th and I got my salary in august together with July salary. Is it Ok, If I just mention this in the cover letter or anything else I need to do?

As I am going to PEO for extension, Is it ok to explain points 1,2 and 3 to the case worker(Though I will explain them in cover letter), when she collects the application form and documents from me or I am just over cautious and thinking too much.

4.When filling the application form, it asks for start date and end dates for duration of degree.Unfortunately I don't remember the exact date and I just remember month and year.Would it be a problem?

5.Finally, I have got email for my appointment on 8th may in Solihull PEO but no where it mentions my name.Is that normal? Is it ok, If I just print that email and take it to PEO on appointment date?

Thanks for reading my painful novel and helping me.

Regards,
Chandra

I have a similar problem , I switched employers in April and missed the pay date which was 15th.
Joined new company on 16th April.
My prev employer used to pay us every 4 weeks

Now when I get paid on 15th May, I will get paid for April and May 2012, but the salary will be covered till May end 31st

I plan to show earnings from June 2011 to May 2012, But cant because my pay period stated from 23rd May 2011.
So technically I have to show earnings from 23rd May 2011 to 22nd May 2012, and I cant omit my May salary other wise I dont qulaify for an extension.

What are my options and how can I calculate my earnings.

Thanks

The reason I cant use 1/6/2011 is because the salary falls between pay periods 23rd May 2011 and 19th June 2011 and pay date was 15th June. 4 weeks salary paid and shows as Total gross salary.

Can I split the 2 weeks salary of June say from 6th June to 19th June instead. But HO wont calculate that .

Please suggest as Im in a big fix and my visa application my not go through.

Thanks

Okay. There is a solution to every problem, you just have to be patient and sometime needs a fresh pair of eyes :)

In your case, why cant you use the salary from 23/5/11 - 22/05/12 in that case? Does that not get you the required earnings? Or is it because in your new job pays from 1-30 of the month?

1 - No Problem. I had reversed situation. My last payslip was hardly couple of hundred pounds as oppose to thousands in earlier months. You will be fine.

2 - Are you a temp or contracting through an umbrella company or you are a permanent employee? IF you are not a permanent employee, you are better of getting a letter from the company who pays your wages. But if you are permanent, than would not matter what your bank statement reflect as a payee name

3 - Fine. Again same happened with me. Missed the payroll date in March 11 and was paid in April with "Back Pay" mentioned in payslip. Ensure you carry the employment contract with you for both the jobs

Do not overload CW with answers which aren't questioned ! Supply the information as asked

4 - That may not be a problem as long as you did start in the month. Do you not have employment contract to refer to? Might be an idea to refer to bank statements and get the most accurate approx date

5 - It should be fine. To be on extremely safer side, call HO 08706067766 and confirm that the appointment stands

Good Luck. TO give you peace of mine, I visited Solihull PEO on March 13th and I was approved in about 3 hrs from arrival (15 mins once called by CW)

Hi raxs1983,

Thank you very much for your quick answers. It is great to hear from you that you had your application sorted in few hours in Solihull.

In my point number '4', I was talking about my university degree start and end dates.I don't remember the start and end date of my Bachlores degree but I remember the month and year.Sorry for the confusion.Would this be Ok?

Regards,
Chandra

Yes new job pays monthly and pay date is mid month.
Problem is that the mid monthly pay will be for the whole month of May

Is there a solution?

You are going to have to write a covering letter explaining -

you deducting the salary from 23/5/11 - 31/5/11 and its reasons and than include salaries from 1/6/11 - 31/5/12.

Prepare a table, I will see if I can help you building that.

did you get my email.

I consulted a Solicitor today and he said that its not at all a problem . That kept me wondering . I clearly told him that if I show my whole may salary , i will be going out of the pay period.

These fellows have no clue of salary calculations and earnings / They just blindly hire some dumb staff to prepare documentation and be a legal reps with the HO.
