working abroad for 3-6 months! HELP!

Hi. I am in a dilemma! My company (based in england) is planning to send me for a job in US for 3-6 months. I am due to get my ILR in march 8 2013.

If i choose to go, would this definitely affect my ILR decision? I can prove it to them that it is a business visit.

PLEASE HELPP!!!
