OFFERED AN OVEREXTENSION ON MY VISA

Hi guys,

I applied for my visa and recently got it back. the application was for a student visa teir 4.

My course is a one year course, therefore the visa should be until 30th January 2013 but instead i got 30th january 2014.

Is this a mistake ? what do I do ?

Yes, it's a mistake but, in some ways, it is a self-repairing one because when your course ends you will then have 60 days to leave the UK or find a new sponsor. You can't remain for an additional year with no sponsor.

I would suggest you apply for a correction if you want to do the right thing.

Slick can you please mention your timeline for visa ?? i havent receive any response from UKBA although i did biometrics on 28th march.

Hi,

It took exactly 14 weeks.... from the date of application to receive it back. I can't remeber when I had to have the biometrics taken,,

dunno but i assume with the olympics coming up etc they are mad busy with processing application... but its annoying because there's very little u can do in the time being
