Office address as correspondence address

In this forum I have seen many people took leave to wait for a correspondence from home office or they redirected items from home to office by calling the courier company. Why are they doing this? They could put office address as correspondence address? Is there any issue I am not seeing here in putting office address as correspondence address?

To clarify the intention of the previous post, I am asking is there any issue if I put work address as correspondance address?
