why can Turkish woman not convey citizenship to men?

why marrying a Turkish girl does not guarantee me a Turkish nationality? why is this reserved only for men?

Please start a different thread if you with an accurate descriptive title and you are more likely to get a good answer. Although I am sure that the answer is "because that is the way that citizenship law is in Turkey"

There was a time when many countries treated males and females differently and that was not so long ago. Some still do.
