BRP issue date

hi guys,
as you know PSW applications are taking a huge amount of time these days. just wondering from which date is the BRP issued.
is it issued from the date the previous visa expires? coz if it is than it would be a complete waste of valuable time by the ukba because if the BRP is issued say on 4th May and you get it on 4th July. This time can be spent on securing a job, which we all know is not possible without a passport and visa.
ANy info in this regard would be appreciated.

it will be issued from the date of decision, not the date of the expiry of your current leave.
