Tier 1 Extension due in dec - baby to be born in India-June

Post by betogether » Fri May 04, 2012 5:37 pm

Hi Experts,

I need help to decide approach towards extension of tier 1 visa of me and my wife.

We have our extension due in Dec 2012 but my wife is in India at the moment and will be giving birth to our child in June 2012. If I want them to join me ASAP after baby's birth, is below approach makes sense to you guys?

1) I am planning to get a tourist Visa for my going to be kid and then will bring them in UK around Sep 2012.
2) I will apply Tier 1 extension for me and my wife in Nov - hoping to get it through
3) In December my wife will go back to India and will apply for baby's Tier 1 dependent Visa

* Is above approach makes sense to you guys?
*Why I am planning to do this way is because, if I straight away apply for tier 1 dependent visa for baby it will anyway get close to our extension.
*Another advantage I see in doing this is that I can apply my wife's visa extension together with me in UK.

Please suggest your valuable point of view.
Do you see any complication in above approach?
Also let me know if you have any other ideas for me to go.

Thanks and Regards
Betogether.

Mate,

Your approach is little expensive.

You are going to pay for an extra trip for your wife and kid just so she can apply for your kids dependant visa. If its not of a big trouble than apply for your wife's visa and your kids visa from india after your extension is done. I know you guys will have to stay apart for 3 extra months but imagine, how much money you will save this way.

And trust me, it doesn't matter if they apply seperately or togather with your application. As long as you have your leave sorted here, their application will be a piece of cake.

This is just my opinion.

Note that there may be less UK immigration related complications if child is born in the UK.

Thanks allot guys for your valuable inputs.

@ Vinny - Thanks for your time to response but unfortunately it was not by choice to have baby born in India.

@Sweeti - Thanks for your point. I will re visit my approach considering it may make application complicated (do you have any points to mentioned where it will be complicated).
If I straight away go for Tier 1 dependent visa I will be getting it only till Dec and then will have to get extension again.

@Longshift thanks allot for your point of view you are right that I will be spending extra money of one extra extension for my baby (assuming that my extension is not rejected :()

Good point for me is to not make application complicated.
From traveling point of view it should be ok, because I will anyway be traveling in Jan or Feb if she comes in Sept.

I would more then happy to have any additional point of view if anyone have.

Thanks and Regards
