Naturalisation - Dependants not in uk - will it affect

Post by samar0001 » Mon May 07, 2012 5:42 pm

Hi All,

I have to apply for naturalisation in aug 2012, My dependants (wife and kid) in India they dont have any UK visa right now, (My wife been in uk before on Tier-1 dependant visa but that has been expired when she was in India).
Planning to apply them after my BC.

Will this affect in any way for my BC.
Your comments will be appreciated.

Thanks

You can just add a note on page 13 (additional information) stating that you see the UK as your home and that your family will join you shortly. Should not be a big issue I believe.

BTW - it is the exact same visa for family of someone with ILR or BC so you don't need to wait to become BC (if this is the reason she hasn't apply yet).
