Accomadation letter

I am planing to travel uk in August applying for tourist visa this week.
I have not booked any hotel or travel ticket till now .
My question is it mandatory to provide accomodation letter? are there chances of rejection this if i dont provide accomdation letter? thanks

Depending on your travel history as well as on the basis of other factors including age/financial status etc. I will strongly advise either to provide a letter from a friend/family to confirm that you will be residing at their address or book a hotel. Most bookings can be cancelled atleast 24 hours prior to the booked date and you will get full refund.
