ILR success at Liverpool PEO on 08/05/2012

Post by alish » Wed May 09, 2012 8:44 am

Hi everybody,

Fist of all I would like to thank the moderators, senior members and others who help people like me to complete their citizenship journey. I have been following this forum since 3 years ago and I have learned a lot from it, so I am going to share my experience with you too. It might be useful for somebody.

I came to UK on 3rd June 2007 with work permit then extended my work permit once and finally switched to Tier-1 in May 2009. During these five years I have been with a same employer but it was rebranded in 2008 and finally it was acquired by another company in 2011. No more than 180 days in total and no more than 90 days in a single trip out side the UK.

Before application I was concerned about:

1- Cohabitation documents: I did not have enough documentation to show as cohabitation proof for 2010-2011. The only documents we had was the Police Registration and a letter from our previous surgery confirming we were registered with a same address.

2- My wife’s current passport is expired and due some reason we were not able to renew it before our application.
3- The entrance stamps on our passports are not in English, so I was concerned if the case worker can recognise the number to calculate the out of country days. And I did not have SAR.

4- I had 2 parking fines and one fine for driving on bus lane which I did not include them as traffic conviction in the application form.

My application went quite smoothly. I had prepared loads of documentation to submit, but I was surprised when the case worker just asked for a few. He only asked for:
- Passports
- Police Registration ( That is just for some nationals)
- KOL tests
- 12 months pay slips
- 12 months bank statements

No cohabitation document was asked. No employer letter, no P60, no work permit approval letter, no tier-1 approval letter, no birth certificate for my UK born child (we have a travel a head so we could not wait for MN1 to progress)

Less than 2 hours my application was approved. I was very satisfied with my experience at Liverpool PEO and I would recommend it for straight forward cases.
