Impact of Entry Clearance Refusal on Existing Visa

Post by seeksan21 » Thu May 10, 2012 2:02 pm

Hi,

I have a Tier-2 (ICT) Visa which was renewed in the March-2012 and is now valid until March-2014. My wife has recently got Tier-1 (PSW) Visa stamped in India which is valid until 2014. This stampping happend in the month of March (this year, 2012).

I came to India for vacations and I applied for a Tier-1 (PSW) Dependent Visa for myself and my daughter. This has been refused with 2 reasons mentioned in the refusal letter:
1. my wife doesn't have a job in hand as yet
2. the documents I submitted for the proof of maintenance funds was not satisfactory. Since I didn't have the actual statement for the last one month hence i submitted the web printout which they refused to accept as proof.

They have stammped something like "ECR/reference number/" on my passport.

Now I've the following questions:
1. Is my Tier-2 (ICT) still valid for travelling?
2. Can I appeal against this refusal and provide the bank verified / stamped statement as a proof of maintenance funds.
3. Can I do this appeal while I'm in UK or do I need to be in India for appealing against this decision? (assuming that I'm able to travel to UK with my current Tier-2 visa).

Many Thanks.

Yes, if the expiry date hasn't come to pass.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

Thank you for your response on the 1st question. Does anyone have any clue on the other 2 questions?
