Does the answer remain same ???if Mother was born in Kampala, and then acquired citizenship only in 2006. Till 2006 Mother was also resided in IndiaGreenie wrote:the daughter was not born before 1983 to a British mother, she was born before 1983 to an Indian national who later naturalised as a British citizen. It is not possible to pass citizenship on in this manner as the child was born before the mother was British.
Does mother counted as 'British', while her stay in India till 2006 she had Passport as 'British Subject' "Citizen of the UK and colonies"???Greenie wrote:if the mother was not british when the daughter was born, then the daughter is not entitled to be registered as a british citizen.
