Apply for ILR

Post by evxwa1 » Sat May 12, 2012 3:03 pm

Dear Friends,

Here is my scenario , please help me to figure out whether I am eligible for ILR on/after 1st of Novemeber.

1.) Initial work permit on 28th November 2007, my work permit was valid till 27 Nov. 2012)
2.) I found a new job so my new company applied for a new work permit. It tooks about 3 months to get one. I had to sit at home for 2 months until my new permit been issued.

3.)My new permit issued on 19 May 2008.

4.)My wife been issued dependant visa on 23/04/2012.

My queries as follows:
a) My calculation says I should be eligible for ILR on/after 1st Novemeber - Is that correct ?
b) Do I have to apply for my wife in the same application as my spouse to get her spouse visa? what is the correct procedure to follow.

Thanks for your support

Regards
Wisam

a). The date of issue of work permit has nothing to do with your ILR application.
b). The answer depends on whether you are a WP migrant or a Tier 2 migrant, and what leave your wife has been issued (see her passport and tell us what the vignette states).

Also, read FAQs for ILR - WP/Tier 1/Tier 2/HSMP holders
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
