Accomodation in uk for dependants and Naric

Post by hoorain » Sat May 12, 2012 9:46 pm

hi all a quick question regarding accomodation for dependant wife and 2kids.
I am renting a 2bed [shared by land lord and his wife and 2kids].
I have read some where that if you rent a property and want to sponser your wife and kids, then sharing accomodation with other family is not acceptable.
pls.is that true.
my second question is regarding my wifes Masters Degree from Pakistan.
UKBA website under english test requirements say that if applicant holds
A degree equivelant to UK bachelors degree.Submit the original degree with the application and that replaces english test requirement.
It doesnt say to get the masters degree approved from NARIC UK.
Can you all pls.shed some light thanks.

Sharing a home with someone other than your parents, is not deemed to be secure and available for when teh applicant comes to join their spouse in the UK in the eyes of the ECO, unless you have a signed tenancy agreement giving you full right from being evicted in case of a problem with teh person you are living with. If you have a signed tenancy agreement and can prove that you are paying rent to teh landlord then that should be fine.

thanks a lot for your reply first of all.
Yes I have a signed rent agreemet and a property survey report from the local estate agent.
Rent to the land lord goes by direct debit from my account.
And it shows as house rent on my bank statements since last three months.
Is that enough evidence and is it necassery to get the property survey done by local council or Estate agents survey is good aswell.
2nd question about naric certification can you also shed some light on that aswell pls. thanks

It msut be an "Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement" and not just a "rent agreement" as only the first one is valid and recognizable
