Post by manrane » Sun May 13, 2012 9:34 am

HI,
Mt question is , Me my wife and my kid have ILR and are due for ctizenship in March 2013. Due to some circumstances my wife and my kid have to be in india now. I would stay here.

Can I call my wife and my kid while applying for citizenship..???
Do they have to satisfy some minimum stay in this country befre they apply for nautralisation..??

Thanks

How long have they been in India for and how long do they intend on staying there?

Read the guidance on the ukba website regarding naturalisation for your wife and registration for your son.

I would suggest you read again. If you wife is going to outside the UK for almost a year how do you expect that she will meet the residence requirements?

Assuming your child was not born here and therefore entitled to be registered he may also have difficulties in proving future intention if he has just spent almost a year outside theUK.
