UK > USA -- How hard is it?

Hey,

Me and my partner where thinking about moving to the USA. I was wondering in the current climate if it was near impossible, or can it still be done?

I am an IT professional with one child.

People do move to the USA. I think that answers the general non-specific scope of your original enquiry.
