Hi,
I applied for ILR by Post Last Month . I was convicted by court couple of days ago for a brawl and have to wait 1 year for unspent conviction. If I withdraw my application now would HO keep any sort of record that would effect my application which I am gonna file after 1 year.
Another thing that I have been told that I don't have to mention my spent conviction later on anywhere after 1 year and that won't appear in my CRB as well.
If I withdraw my application now. Would HO keep any sort of details in their record that would effect my application later on. Thanks

once your application is received at home office, they scan all documents and attached them to your previous records.
you can also check that by requesting SAR.

Hi angelloveguy,
Thanks for your reply. One more question. Do you get all the details by requesting Subject Access Requests (SAR) to Home Office. Would they describe any reasons for Visa rejection or withdrawal reasons in it. Thanks

SAR is quite detailed. I have had mine. all landing cards, visas (with prints), submitted forms are with them in form of soft copies.
though they do not keep copies of bank statements, payslips and job related documents but do have company and job info on their files.

Thanks innocentdevil for your reply. Guys I am really disgruntled that I had to withdraw my application at such an odd time when I was almost there.
As the application was there in Home Office for couple of weeks and I withdrew my Application today by saying that I have to travel in emergency and I want to withdraw my application.
Would it be considered and recorded in my records as withdrawal application and would they mention the reason for withdrawal or Rejection even if they knew about my court conviction. Thanks
Regards

Hi guys,
Just a quick one. I applied for my SAR report on 17th of May, received a letter from UKBA dated 21st May that they have received my application and I would get my SAR report in 40 days.
Its now over 46 days and I haven't received the report yet.
Is there any way to speed up the process. I also read that according to Data Protection Act of 1998 , UKBA is liable to send the report within 40 days. Thanks

It can take a bit longer. I got mine in 60 days. You can write to them and enquire about it. The only problem is, that it will be a few weeks before someone even reads your letter.
