Hi everyone! I'm new to this site but I came accross it whilst depserately trying to seek advice so decided to join up!
Anyway, I think I might just be over reacting and worrying unnecessarily but I am convinced that the UKBA will refuse my husband's application just because they can! silly I know but I can't face the thought of a refusal!
We have been through the application and as far as we are aware meet all the requirements for the application. I have even sought legal advice but this is costly so am trying to avoid it...it wouldn't be so bad if the visa applications and flights to Ecuador weren't so expensive!
Basically, I married my husband last September in Ecuador after a whirlwind romance. I returned to the UK at the end of March to find work and become resident in the UK again in preparation for his application. He is due to take his english test next week and provided he passes we will apply for the visa! So, my first question is...does anyone know what percentage of correct answers is required in order for him to pass?
My next concern is that I have only been earning again since the beginning of May and therefore do not have 6 months earnings in bank statements...it was idle whislt I was living in Ecuador. Are they likely to refuse on these grounds? I am currently employed though and I do have a letter confirming permament employment as a teacher commencing this september...will this suffice?
Finally, in general, does anyone know just how particular the application officers are? I just keep thinking of all the things that could go wrong or why they might refuse....I guess I just need some reassurance and any advice anyone has.
Thanks
