Review of docs - Extension, Contractor (LTD company) PEO

Post by rajesh9pl » Tue May 15, 2012 10:36 pm

Hi Folks,

I am all set to apply for Tier1 (G) extension next week at PEO Croydon.

I work as IT Contractor through my own limited company, sole shareholder.

I have arranged following documents to support Previous Earnings:

1. Payslips
2. Dividend Vouchers
3. Business Bank account Statements
4. Personal Bank Statements
5. Invoices
6. Monthly Profit and Loss statement
7. Letter from accountant

Where applicable, documents are on Ltd company letterhead and sealed with ltd company seal. 1, 2, 5 and 6 are also signed and sealed by Accountant.

Letter from accountants gives a summary of Salary (Gross and Net, date paid, date issued), Dividends (Gross, Net and Tax credit, date paid, date issued) and summary of invoices.

Additionally

A. P60 (tax year has just finished and I am claiming points for May 2011 - Apr 2012)
B. VAT registeration from HMRC
C. Flat Rate scheme letter from HMRC
D. Incorporation Certificate
E. Contract with agency (its printed from PDF)
F. Letter which HMRC has confirmed that my accountant is ABC XYZ
G. HRMC letter saying I am PAYE registerd and tax code to be used

a. Original Degree certificate even though I had earned points on same degree
b. Self assesment (PBS calculator) results showing my PG degree is there and appears in English language requirement section
c. Two photos
d. Postal order (GBP 1,800)
e. Application form

Please let me know if you want to add or suggest anything.

Many thanks,
Rajesh

I have got the extension based on above documents. If you have any question around supporting documents, when applying as LTD company contractor (100% share holder and director), then please feel free to post your query here.

Got a call this morning, that my application is approved. Thought I will also post the list of documents I submitted as it might be useful to others.

I am Ltd company contractor with my wife and myself 50% shareholders. She is also a contractor on primary Tier 1 visa and generates revenue for the company.

In the application form, I opted as Employed. I submitted,

1. Payslips - signed and sealed by accountant.
2. Dividend vouchers - printed with company name and signed by myself. (no company seal)
3. Invoices - signed by myself only.
4. Letter from accountant - signed and on company letter headed paper, no seal. Gives details of my shareholding, and my income break-up (monthly salary + dividend payouts, both with dates paid out) and invoices raised by me for the company with dates paid into the business bank account.
5. Personal bank statements.
6. Business bank statements.

Additionally I also submitted, not necessary, but I submitted anyway,

7. Original degree certificate, same as during my initial entry clearance.
8. Marriage certificate.

Additionally I also carried with me, but for some reason didn't submit,
9. My contract document.
10. Company Incorporation letter.
11. Share Certificate showing my 50% share holding.

The only point, I was a little concerned about was that my wife and I generate different incomes for the company. Although as a 50% shareholder, I am entitled to 50% profits, that is not the same as the income I have individually earned for the company.

Although I have submitted my invoices, there is no document giving this exact breakup and they would have had to calculate corporation tax, VAT deductions on my invoices to realise, how much of the companies profits I have earned and can be considered as my earnings (for granting points).

Anyhow seems they have done the hard work and my extension has come through. :)

Best luck to all,
OR.
