Technical Change..how long does it take.

My company recently applied a work permit technical change form as the company moved to new location.
Can any one please advise me how long does it take to get it done?
I am on old work permit not PBS.
Is there any way, where i can contact home office and confirmed myself whether it has been updated or not?
