Post by Baleegh » Wed May 16, 2012 10:34 am

Hi,

Can someone please respond to my query.. its urgent...

Can one study Part - time while on Tier 1 General (HSMP) visa along with the full time work?

Is there any issues with extension, ILR if you study?

Would appreciate any help here...... Thanks.

Would appreciate your help. Thanks.

You would have to pay overseas fees. The International Student Office of the university would confirm that with you

Universities that I applied to for a part-time Phd were in the dark to say the least. Universities either give a Tier 4 visa or a home student status(UK and European citizens). Hence you should contact the institution first to confirm if they will let you be a part-time student when you are a full time resident of the UK and yet not a UK citizen.

You would be charged an international fee till you get the ILR.

Best wishes.
