I need help pliz

Post by Bob44 » Thu May 17, 2012 11:27 pm

Hi everyone i need help with this issue here. I came to the UK some 5 and a half years ago from Africa and prior to coming here i had a girl friend that i had made pregnant there. the child was born just a month after i had left and upon arrival i claimed asylum. for some reason i did not mention about the girl friend and the pregnancy at that time. unfortunately my asylum claim was refused three times and i was granted descretionary leave to remain in the UK because i now have a wife and two kids here renewable after 3 years.now my query is can i manage to bring my daughter here in the UK with this current immigration status i have.

How does the child and child's mother feel about this?

to be quite honest she is ok with the idea, i have been taking care of my daughter since she was born until now. i have moved on with my life and so she is. they are quite a number of reasons why i would like my daughter to join me here. i understand ur question Vinny but at the end of the day every parent wants the best for their children. its something that i have discused with the mother of my daughter. i would appreciate if u could help me with this issue

How have you been taking care of her when she has been in Africa and you have been in the UK claiming asylum?

In any case there is no provision in the rules for a child of a person with discretionary leave to be granted entry clearance so unfortunately it is not possible.
