Visa Procesing time for 6 month Busines Visa, VFS Bangalore

Hi All,

I have applied for a 6 month business visitor visa on 14 May, 2012.

Applied: 14 May
Status update: Visa application forwarded to British High Commission, same day on 14th May
Next Status Update: Visa application under process at BHC, on 19th May.

I have to travel to UK on 27th May, and thinking that it takes around a week for Business Visa applications, I have applied it 2 week in advance.

Any idea how much time does it take in general for the same ??

Thanks for replying. I have already had a look at this page.

I am worried as we have already got the tickets done and one of my colleague who applied for Business Visa with me has already got the delivery message just on the 5th day of applying. However, he holds an active US Visa and had a Schengen Visa before. Read somewhere that it takes less time for those who holds or have applied before for UK/Europe Visa.

One more thing, can we request to UKBA incase of any emergency.

However, as per your experience what do you feel, how much time does it take to get the visa after the application goes for a status change as Visa under process.

I had applied for a visa (student visitor) the same day as you.
Have you received your visa yet? My status still reads " Visa under process". I had to start my course from 27th May. Now, it seems It'll have to be postponed.
I would really appreciate it if you let me know when your status changes.
