If his wife is on his dependent Tier 1 General visa and is looking at applying for extension, then she apply can from within UKsagiloyal wrote:Hi All,
My friend is applying for his tier 1 general extension. he got only main applicant appointment at PEO Glasgow. when he is selecting for dependent he cant find dates AVILABLE. So he want to apply for his visa at PEO first and after getting his visa he wants to apply for his wifes extension. So the question is whether he can apply for the dependent here in UK or his wife should go back to INDIA to pply for extension ? He knows it will cost him more when applying separately but he was unable to get PEO for both.
As at PEO he can get his visa on the same day so he wants post his wifes visa by post after recieving his visa. But he is not sure whether can apply for dependendt separately here in UK or she should go back to india to apply ??
Please clarify on this. Many Thanks.
How dependants can extend their stay
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... s/#header2
If you have dependants who wish to remain with you in the UK, you or they should complete the separate dependant application form. You can download this form from the right side of this page.
Each dependant should state on their application form whether they are submitting their application at the same time as your application.
They should also state the category under which you have made an application.
Also make sure that she has enough time left on her visa after the main applicant has applied for PEO appointment. Let us know what dates is the visa expiry and what date is the PEO appointmentsagiloyal wrote:Yes she is on his dependent tier 1 . So she can apply with in uk for extension separately?? because here they are not applying together. she will be applying after he gets his visa. so we can make separate application for tier 1 dependent extension in UK.??
There is no reason as such. The only reason its better to have some time left , is becausesagiloyal wrote:Hi Thanks for ur reply. His visa expires on 09-june-2012.
he got his PEO 01-june-2012 at Glasgow. Is there any reason for this ? I am not sure if he can get his Biometric by that time or not. But may be he will get evidence from home office at PEO about his visa reference letter for approval. But wts the reason for having enough time for applying her dependent visa ?
Thanks.
