Every 1st time passport application needs to attend an identity interview. Even British born.

If you don't apply for a passport you don't need to attend an interview.

Your husband will not need to attend an interview with regards to your passport application.

All passport applicants have to attend an interview for their first passport application. This includes even those who were British born.
