Spouse Visa - Would an MP Impact your visa case?

Post by charlotterahman » Tue May 22, 2012 6:09 pm

If your MP gets involved with your visa case does this make any positives about your case? Like if they are showing there support or contacting the UKBA on your behalf will it help your application? Will the UKBA be afraid that your local MP has contacted them? Or will it not even make a difference. So my question really is does involving your MP impact on your visa case?

Thanks

No, UKBA is used to it.

Will he get you an approval? No.
It may help in UKBA assessing the application a bit more carefully (perhaps), draw UKBA's attention to the case in question and elicit response about inordinate delays That's about it, I guess.

Hi,

I contact my local MP (I live in Twickenam) so my local MP is Vince Cable who is now a very recognised man I guess in the Parliment. I know Vince Cable personally as my parents used to own a shop in Twickenham and Vince would visit for his morning news paper everday, and of course got to know him as I was growing up. He also helped me in moving schools once upon a time.

He done his best for me and did follow up with BHC, but nothing came of it. What he did tell me though is that the MP's voice is not usually heard in a VISA application BUT when if you are to be refused and you appeal thats whne a MP's voice is heard!....

I hope this helps!
