Tier 1Post Study Work- Dependant Visa

Post by foxtrot79 » Wed May 23, 2012 8:46 pm

I am currently on a Tier 1 Post study work visa which expires on 01 September 2012. My girlfriend is on a Tier 1 post study visa too that is valid until February 2014. We're planning to get married in the UK in July 2012 and I am then planning to apply as her dependant. I have been working here since August 2010 when I got my Tier 1 Post study visa.

Could I please get some advise as to how we can go about this. Can I apply from within the UK? Many thanks.

No

29. For family members of Tier 1, 2, and 5 applicants, switching is permitted when applying as:
•a family member who has or last had entry clearance or leave to remain as the partner or child of a person who had leave under another category and who has since been granted, or is, at the same time, being granted leave to remain as a relevant Points Based System migrant;
