Help Plz - Benifits

Hi,

I need your advise regarding benefits. I had ILR since January 2012 but was working full time until now so didn't feel the need. Lost my full-time job in April.

Starting a new part-time job on 30th this month which would be about 15 hours a week and monthly income would be around £600-£700. I am married and have two kids 7&9 but my family lives back home and none of them have a UK Visa until now, I have to bear their expanses as well.

As per my circumstances given above could you please advise what benefits I could claim for? and How? I am completely new to this so please give some details.

Answer 'yes' to the question 'are you a British or Irish citizen' as otherwise it cannot calculate your entitlement (as you have ILR it will be the same as a British person anyway).

Your family will not be a relevent consideration because they are not living in the UK. You will therefore be treated as single and therefore your entitlement to benefits is probably minimal as you will be earning more than the current level of income support/JSA (about £480 per month). You might be entitled to housing benefit or council tax benefit.
