Visitor visa application queries

Post by lolowalsh » Fri May 25, 2012 7:11 pm

hello
i'm really confused about what to answer to these questions on my apllication form Vaf1 for visit visa

What is your total monthly income
from all sources of employment or
occupation after tax?

Do you receive income from any other
sources, including friends or family?

Do you have savings, property or
other income, for example, from stocks and
shares

How much of your total monthly
income is given to your family members and
other dependants?

How much do you spend each month
on living costs?

I'm only student so i dont have a work yet and i will be sponsored by my friend so should i give my sponsor work details or leave it empty ?

"You" refers to the applicant (you, who is applying for visa).

Why can't you answer the questions?

e.g. -
Q - What is your total monthly income from all sources of employment or occupation after tax?
The answer is 0, if you do not work.

Likewise, answer the other questions appropriately.

As MOD said this questions refers to the applicant, which means you. All answer should be relevant to you and not your sponser.

yes it's true i've completed my application , but now i'm just confused about the invitation letter i don't know whether if the ukba requires a hand writting letter or just an email sent by the sponsor and print it and show it to them afterwards .

Sponsorship letters are generally typed as a normal letter would be and signed by the sponsor.

I have in the past submitted a scanned copy of a signed sponsorship letter & other supporting documents with my Visitor Visa EC application and have not had an issue with the letter being a printout of a scanned copy. If in doubt just check with your local consulate to verify what is acceptable.

lolowalsh, This is in response to you PM where you wanted information on the requirements for sponsorship for a visitor visa.

Please read through the information on the UKBA website (link below), to understand what your sponsor needs to provide to support your application.
