Re: Wrong visa type printed for dependant

Post by DMKA » Sat May 26, 2012 10:36 am

Hi,

I am in Tier-2 General visa. Recently, my wife came to UK as my dependant. In her visa status it is written as 'TIER-2 (ICT) DEPENDANT'.
I think it is written in mistake by entry clearance officer.

Is there any way to change to correct inside UK or my wife have to change going back to home country. If it is possible inside UK, how can I do it.

Many thanks.

If you are in a hurry (although I can't see any reason to be) then perhaps a better alternative would be to email the Entry Clearance Manager at the post where the visa was issued. He will then send you an email which you can enclose with your passport. This will save time as the email will confirm the mistake to RCU team and have instructions on what is the correction with all the relevant information. Otherwise, when the RCU team receive your enquiry, they will have to contact the ECM for themselves to verify the details and this may take longer.
