I don't have a definitive answer, but suspect both applications are in fact being dealt with together. You can email Gerry's and ask.
Did they insist that your family provide a TB cert?

you are entitled to complain both about the TB cert and the length of time taken.

keep complaining. This does not sound like the visa is being treated under an accelerated procedure. Keep complaining until you get satisfaction.

i suppose it can take much longer than you expect,,i know someone who was issued eea fp after 85 days, i am sure as i see in some cases it take till 6 months in pakistan
i am sure it is delibrate in pakistani cases and this is totaly useless to complain in such cases ,,so wait wait and wait,,you are lucky if you get family permit even in 3 months
